Nude
1- Freud assumed that dreaming of being nude was linked with sexuality. It is, however, more to do with self-image. We have a desire to be seen for what we arc, to reveal our essential personality without having to crcate a facade, lo interpret a dream of walking down a street naked will depend on whether we arc seen by other people or not.
If we are seen by others, there may be something about ourselves which we wish to reveal.
If we are alone we may simply have a wish for freedom of expression.
2- Nudity signifies innocence. It may be that there is a situation in our lives which requires honesty and truth.
If we arc sufficiently secure within our own self-image, we will not be afraid of being ‘stripped’ in public.
Dreaming of appearing nude, for instance in a strip show, could suggest we have anxiety about being misunderstood. We arc conscious of the fact that we are prepared to be open and honest, but others may not understand.
3- Nudity can suggest a new beginning, a rebirth.
It is the paradise state and the state of natural innocence we all, at one time, had. It can also represent renunciation of the material world.
Nude
Dropping the facade, attitudes or feelings we may mask our real emotions with in everyday life—a child may scream if someone it dislikes gets near it, but an adult will probably tolerate the nearness, or refrain from expressing displeasure; desire to be seen for what one is; expression of natural feelings or desire to be intimate; revealing one’s true nature. Anxiety about being nude: fear that others know what you really feel and desire; feeling vulnerable and one’s weaknesses are exposed; guilt about being a human animal with sexual characteristics and urges.
Nude
Totally open and exposed, not hiding who or what you are. Good symbology.
