My Dream Interpretation

If you dream of being hanged (from a noose), or seeing someone else hanged, a season of good luck will follow. Occasionally, this dream can be a reminder of something you have left unfinished. However, to dream of performing the function of a hangman is a strong warning to refrain from criticizing others, lest you be criticized yourself.

To dream of hanging off something into the air, or hanging from a great height, represents feelings of insecurity that you are having in real life.

To dream that you are hanging up clothes, suggests that you are clarifying your thoughts and rising to a new state of awareness.... My Dream Interpretation

A noose in a dream suggests that we have a fear of being trapped, perhaps by others’ actions. We are aware that we can create a trap for ourselves, thereby ‘putting a noose round our own necks’. Traditionally, a drawing of a hangman’s noose was a threat of death and it can still have that significance in dreams. As always, this death may be of part of our personality.

A noose, like the halter, harness and other symbols of restraint, suggests the taming of something wild. So, for a young man about to be married to dream of a noose might indicate a fear of being restrained unduly For a young woman wishing to leave home, a noose might represent a fear of becoming trapped in the parental home.

A noose can also imply the prevention of self-expression.

At its simplest, the noose represents a traumatic death. In a more complex sense it can represent the binding of spiritual intent, the harnessing of spiritual energy.... Ten Thousand Dream Dictionary

1- A scaffold or scaffolding in a dream will usually indicate that there is some kind of temporary structure in our lives.

A hangman’s scaffold will suggest that a part of our lives must come to an end. We may, for instance, be aware that we have offended against some of society’s laws and beliefs, and must be punished. We also may need to look at our propensity to be a victim.

If scaffolding appears in dreams we should dccide whether it is there to help us build something new or whether we must repair the old. We need a temporary structure to help us reach the height we wish in either case.

If we are building new, that structure will support us while we build, whereas if we are repairing the old it will support the previous structure while we make the necessary changes.

2- Sometimes in dreams a scaffold will indicate an enforced ending. This can be death, but is more likely to suggest the death of part of our personality Rather than being able to achieve a successful integration, we actually actively have to stop the behaviour or activity which is causing a problem. We have to take the consequences of behaving in that way.

3- A scaffold suggests an enforced codc of spiritual behaviour and the need for self-control. Scaffolding indicates spiritual support.... Ten Thousand Dream Dictionary
