For most people, taking a pill suggests doing something to make themselves feel better. In dreams, taking such a course of action will signify putting ourselves through an experience we need in order to improve our performance or potential.
On a psychological level we maybe aware of our ability to heal ourselves. Taking a pill in a dream may alert us to that capability. We may also be conscious of the necessity for taking care over what we put in our mouths, particularly if someone else is giving us the pill.
Spiritual or alternative methods of healing may be appropriate in a given situation.
Pill
Bitter truth, illness, but also searching and finding. Fear of pregnancy. Uppers: a suggestion that you have to find happiness in yourself and not expect it to come from the outside. Downers: You need to “work” for relaxation and not expect it to come by itself. Drugs: You are seeking deeper spiritual insights, but in a regressive way. One has to learn to find experiences of freedom without drugs. Birth control: The dreamer is longing for sex, but there is fear involved.
Pill
It could be that, in real life, you’ve found just the remedy to achieve inner harmony.
If in the dream you are addicted to some sort of pills, it probably indicates that you behave too impulsively. This fact could be hurting you. Some people believe that, through hallucinogenic pills, the higher conscious is awakened. Evidently, this is not the best path to achieve this. Concentration and meditation are always much more innocuous and useful ways.
Pill
An experience you need, or are making yourself meet because you think it is good for you; something we ‘swallow’ because we think it is right—we may ‘swallow’ lies or excuses; an attempt to deal with internal feelings by external means. Pill we are actually taking: may link with feelings or physical reactions to the drug being taken. Idioms: sugar the pill; bitter pill.
Pill
If the pill is a vitamin, then swallowing a pill in a dream might reflect a desire to take care of one’s health. Taking a pill can be a metaphor for accepting something unpleasant—“swallowing a bitter pill.” Pills could be a reference to “The Pill” used in birth control, and sometimes irritating people are referred to as “pills.”
Pill
Dreams of a pill denote the desire for a quick fix, and to make your physical or emotional pain go away.
If you are swallowing a bitter pill, then you are making sacrifices in your life, or facing the hard facts.
If this pill is a recreational drug, then see Drug.
If this pill is medication, then see Medicine or Band-Aid.

To dream that you take pills, denotes that you will have responsibilities to look after, but they will bring you no little comfort and enjoyment.
To give them to others, signifies that you will be criticised for your disagreeableness.
