Shark, Dream Interpretation


Shark offers the medicine or power to confront your greatest fears. It can come as a response to a fearful situation. Once the fear is conquered, the courage and strength of Shark can deliver you to the bottom of the ocean of fear and beyond the limits of what you perceive as safe waters in order to conquer negative emotions. Being attacked by a shark in a dream might signify a confrontation with someone who could take advantage of your naivete.

A shark is a symbol of a demonic force or a person with the ability to cause you tremendous harm

To dream of a shark symbolizes a ruthless and corrupt individual who is only concerned about himself and disregards the needs of others.

The shark may also represent these same aspects of your own character. Perhaps you are experiencing a stage in your life of great distress and anguish.

The shark represents harsh emotions such as rage, aggression, and violence. These feelings may harm the mental well-being of yourself and those around you.

Sharks in dreams represent a person whom you see as greedy and cold. Because this could be yourself in some cases, this dream can also mean that you are feeling angry with yourself or others.

1- To dream of a shark may- indicate that we are being attacked unfairly; someone is trying to take something that is rightfully ours. Being in a sea of sharks suggests that we are in a situation where we do not trust anyone.

To be pursued by a shark may- suggest that we have put ourselves in danger and created a situation by entering someone else’s territory

2- Because a shark is a sea creature it has the significance of creating problems on an emotional level. It is as though our emotional capacity can be eroded by- unscrupulous behaviour.

3- The shark is a svmbol of the fear of death because of its connection with the Collective Unconscious.

We lack the abilitv to confront these fears without help.

To dream of sharks, denotes formidable enemies.

To see a shark pursuing and attacking you, denotes that unavoidable reverses will sink you into dispondent foreboding.

To see them sporting in clear water, foretells that while you are basking in the sunshine of women and prosperity, jealousy is secretly, but surely, working you disquiet, and unhappy fortune.

To see a dead one, denotes reconciliation and renewed prosperity.

This dream denotes an enemy; if the shark eats you, the enemy will ruin you (Gypsy).
