Symbolic of death, Ps. 55:4
To dream about being in a state of terror means that you no longer have faith in others.
(See Fear; Fright)
1. Complete breakdown of trust.
2. A feeling that another harbors resentment, anger.
Terror in dreams indicates fear of a person or an existing condition that worries the dreamer.
1- Terror in a dream is often the result of unresolved fears and doubts. It is only by experiencing such a profoundly disturbing emotion that are we likely to make an attempt to confront those fears.
If someone else is terrified in our dream we are in a position to do something about it, and need to work out what course of action should be taken.
2- Fear or terror dreams can be one of the triggers towards a deeper understanding of oneself.
If we know we arc fearful we can do something about it. Terror is more difficult to handle since in that state we will not know what the cause is. In the waking state it is possible to use a technique which will identify the terror.
The statement which is made is lI am terrified because...’ followed by the immediate reason which comes to mind. Then work through each fresh statement until vou come to a full stop. Thus:
‘I am terrified because I have no money’ i have no money because I spent it at the supermarket’, ‘I spent il at the supermarket because I have to eat’, ‘I have to eat because I’m afraid to die’ and so on.
Gradually the meaning becomes clearer until there is a resolution.
3- Spiritual terror could be identified as fear of evil.
To dream that you feel terror at any object or happening, denotes that disappointments and loss will envelope you.
To see others in terror, means that unhappiness of friends will seriously affect you.
